The epoxy coated NTC thermistor sensor appears as a water-drop shape bead with two radial wire leads, which combines a fast thermal response with a low cost. It consist of small NTC chip soldered between stranded PVC or Teflon cable. Terminations are solder dipped and head is coated and insulated with black epoxy resin. The tiny body can be inserted into a tube, free in air, tape attached or glued. Very often these types of NTC thermistor are used with applications in proximity to moisture. Some of these applications include medical devices that measure air flow and air temperature. Multiple sensor spec. and custom-made cable length are available.
